About Versafire

Fire-rated partitions are designed to provide vertical fire separation in structures such as dividing walls, preventing the spread of fire from the compartment of origin to adjoining compartments. A fire-rated partition is a partition for which the fire resistance performance and the reaction to fire performance have been determined according to the relevant standards.

Tested in various fire-protection systems, Versafire is an A1 Non-Combustible building board in accordance with BS EN 1716:2002 and 1182:2002. A portfolio of test data is available upon request. Versafire is also moisture resistant, impact resistant and provides excellent acoustic performance, making it more than just an A1 Non-Combustible partition.

Versafire is a 2400 x 1200mm board available in 6mm, 9mm and 12mm thicknesses. Versafire can be used in steel partition systems (up to 60 minutes fire resistance), timber partition systems (up to 60 minutes fire resistance), walling systems (up to 120 minutes fire resistance), as well as in suspended ceilings, spandrel partition systems and cold bridging systems.

Fire Rating
Tested to BS476 part 4 and is Non-Combustible. Also tested to BS EN ISO 1716 & 1182 - rated A1 Non Combustible.

Freeze/Thaw Test
Frozen at -17.5°C + 2.5°C continuously for over 16 hours. Kept frozen at -17.5°C for 4 hours. Thawed by immersing in water at approximately 20. Maintained at a temperature of 20°C ± 3°C for 5 hours. Freeze and thaw cycle is repeated 10 times.

Test result: No cracking, disintegration, crumbling, stripping occurs on the Board and it achieves the Freeze/thaw value of 1.97%.

Water Endurance Test
No bloating on reverse side. Non-occurrence of swelling, breakage nor tearing apart of the board.
Compressive Strength
Conditioning: Unless otherwise specified, all test specimens were conditioned at 23 + 2°C, 70 + 15% relative humidity and tested at 23 + 2°C, 50 + 5% relative humidity.
