Two
layers of Versapanel 12mm screwed and bonded together (staggered
joints) on 10mm Veralayer Resilient Insulation laid onto
existing sub-floor. Sub-floor consistsing of 18mm T&G
chipboard / plywood or OSB on timber joists with 100mm Acoustic
Mineral Wool between (as detailed in Building Regulations)
with 31.5mm plasterboard ceiling below. (Lath and plaster
ceilings also acceptable and considered to provide better
sound insulation due to increased mass). Perimeter of the
floor system sealed with Euroform flexible acoustic sealant.
NOTE:
When using Versafloor construction and Versapanel boards
you get a solid feel floor, 1 hour fire rated construction,
Class 'O' Panel, rot resistant, easy to install, unaffected
by moisture, environmentally sound, minimal loss of room
height, complies with National Building Regulation 2003
requirements.
