Wallpapering

The substrate must not show any unevenness (e.g. projecting screws/staples). The joints must be filled with Versaliner JPM™surface filler and if necessary flatted afterwards with the hand sander. Priming is not necessary. The wallpaper is also easier to remove later without priming.

The wallpaper is cut according to the room height.

The normal commercial paste (latex or methyl cellulose base) is stirred then spread evenly and copiously on the wallpaper.

The wallpaper is folded with the pasted side inwards and left to soak for 10 - 15 minutes.

Tip: If large areas are to be wallpapered the use of a wallpaper pasting machine is advisable.

The wallpaper strips should be unfolded downwards and hung exactly vertically from the top (e.g. with the aid of a plumb line).

Always wallpaper working with the light, i.e. the first strip should be hung to the right or left of a window.

The wallpaper should dry out at a maximum temperature of 20°C.

The wallpaper can be removed again carefully from the substrate after prior wetting.
