Typical Examples Of Fire Rated Constructions Using Cement Bonded Particleboard

Metal Partition

1. Framework -  70mm x 35mm x 0.7mm lightweight rectangular hollow steel studs at 400mm nominal centres with 70mm x 30mm x 0.7mm steel channel studs at both end head and foot of the framework. Fixed at 300mm centre with non-combustible fixings.
2. Boarding (Fire Side) - 10mm C.P.Board fixed to the metal stud firstly applying panel bonding adhesive, to the face of the studs, butt joint boards.
3. Fixings - Using 35mm tek screws at 300mm centres.
4. Boarding (Non Fire Side) - 12mm plywood fixed at 300mm centre with 35mm self tapping screws. 35mm foil backed/foil faced polyurethane foam fixed to the plywood using plastic insulation hangars at 600mm nominal centres.
