Typical Examples Of Fire Protection Using Cement Bonded Particleboard
Timber Floors - 30 to 60 Minutes Fire Resistance To A Concealed Grid Ceiling
1.Board
8mm-10mm standard C.P.Board fixed to grid at 300mm centres
using 18mm - 20mm No.8 self tapping screws.
2.
Flooring
Minimum 19mm tongue & groove C.P.Board or Chipboard.
3. 50mm nails at nominal 500mm centres.
4.
Insulation
50mm x 33kg/m3 cut and fixed tight between joists.
5.
Joist
Minimum 225mm x 38mm at maximum 610mm centres.
6. Hangers fixed to joists at maximum 600mm centres at least 100mm away from the bottom of joist with 50mm nails.
7. Don Fire Rated Grid
Concealed channel system 50mm x 26m with expansion couplings
at 3 mtrs with cross channels at board joints, fixed
to joist at 400mm centres 100mm up from base of joist.
