Can I use your boards outside?

Yes, provided boards are stored and installed correctly they can be left exposed for the build period for a given period of time. Please check with Euroform regarding the specific product that you are interested in for details of the maximum period of exposure.

Are your boards non-combustible?

Euroform do have boards such as Versaroc that are A1 non-combustible, yes.

Can I use your boards above 18 meters?

The building regulations for fire currently allow materials of A2-s1,d0 or better (A1 non-combustible) to be used in external walls above 18 metres. So Euroform do have products that can be used in this respect. Some Insurers or third parties may require more specific performance so this must be considered and checked. Some Insurers may insist on A1 materials only for example.

Can I secure insulation to your boards?

Building boards may contribute towards the securing of external wall insulation products. The amount of contribution (if any) should be established by engineers following site pull-out tests using the fixings specified to install the insulation.

Which board will give me 60 minutes fire resistance?

Individual boards do not carry a period of fire resistance. A period of fire resistance is always achieved by a system following a fire test (for example in a steel framed wall it would typically comprise internal & external boards and insulation to cavity or to the outside). Other considerations would be the direction of fire and the possibility that the wall may be load bearing. A wall tested from one direction will not necessarily provide the same level of fire resistance from the other side.
